Simple VGA Connection

If you do not have a video out port on your computer, you may need to use your VGA port. This is the port typically used by your monitor. If you have a HDTV, you should already have a VGA port; otherwise, you may need to purchase a VGA-TV converter, or consider the other computer-to-TV hookup options.

What you need:
 1. VGA Monitor Cable
 2. VGA-to-TV Converter (if you donīt have an HDTV with a VGA port)
 3. Miniplug-to-RCA Stereo Audio Cable OR Miniplug-to-RCA Stereo Adapter and RCA cables.

VGA connectors, vary, so you should consult your VGA connector manual for instructions.

Plug the single-connector end of the audio cable to the line-out or speaker-out port on your computer. Then plug the two red and white color-coded RCA connectors on the other end of the audio cable into their respective inputs on your TV.

Easy S-Video

To connect your computer to your TV using this method, both your computer and TV need to be equipped with S-Video (Super-Video) jacks.

What you need:
 1. S-Video Cable
 2. Miniplug-to-RCA Stereo Audio Cable

Connect one end of the S-Video cable to your computerīs video output and the other to the video input on your TV. Plug the single-connector end of the audio cable to the line-out or speaker-out port of your computer. Then plug the two red and white color-coded RCA connectors of the other end of the audio cable into their respective inputs on your TV.

Standard video composite jacks can be found on most new computers, and are usually colored yellow.

What you need:
 1. RCA Video Cable
 2. Miniplug-to-RCA Stereo Audio Cable OR Miniplug-to-RCA Stereo Adapter and RCA cables

Connect the yellow color-coded end of your RCA Video cable into the yellow color-coded video input on your TV, and the other end into the video output of your computer.
